Royal Docks Adventure is situated opposite London City Airport, on the opposite side of the docks and next to Connaught Bridge.
All dragon boat team members, visitors, guests and supporters are encouraged to use public transport where possible.
The nearest train station is Royal Albert using Docklands Light Railway (DLR). This is one minute walk from the event site. The car park located directly outside the venue is reserved for VIP guests and voucher holders ONLY. There is, however, plenty of parking locally on nearby streets. Local parking restrictions apply and the London Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival cannot be responsible for your vehicle parked on local streets. Car drivers are responsible for their own vehicles and for ensuring that they are parked safely and legally. National Sunday parking restrictions apply as normal.
The centre provides access to a full 2000m seven racing-lane rowing course with return lane. The tow path provides access to the full length of the course. The boathouse adjacent to the centre is 70m in length and its 3 bays offer 6 extensive modern racking systems and a secure workshop area.
Royal Docks Adventure boasts a state-of-the-art rowing tank which contains the very latest technology. The system was designed by Arup and built at a cost of circa £100,000.
The Yi-Ban Chinese restaurant is located on the upper level of the clubhouse and offers quality Oriental cuisine as well as a wonderful view down the rowing course.
The centre is well served by public transport being a 2 minute walk from Royal Albert (DLR) train station and having good connections to the North Circular Road (A406), M11 and M25.
