London Regatta Centre is situated opposite London City Airport, on the opposite side of the docks and next to Connaught Bridge.
All dragon boat team members, visitors, guests and supporters are encouraged to use public transport where possible.
The nearest train station is Royal Albert using Docklands Light Railway (DLR).
The car park located directly outside the London Regatta Centre is reserved for VIP guests and voucher holders ONLY.
Car parking for participants is located past the Newham Council offices (Building 1000) east on Dockside Road. After exiting Royal Albert Way turn left at the roundabout turning away from the Royal Albert tube station. There will be stewards to assist you and point the way. Car parking vouchers will be available at the entrance to these car parks in exchange for a £3 charity donation to London Chinatown Lions Club.
The centre provides access to a full 2000m seven racing-lane rowing course with return lane. The tow path provides access to the full length of the course. The boathouse adjacent to the centre is 70m in length and its 3 bays offer 6 extensive modern racking systems and a secure workshop area.
The Regatta Centre boasts a state-of-the-art rowing tank which contains the very latest technology. The system was designed by Arup and built at a cost of circa £100,000.
The clubhouse contains a fully equipped gym which is operated on behalf of the Royal Albert Dock Trust by The Connaught Health and Fitness Club.
The Yi-Ban Chinese restaurant is located on the upper level of the clubhouse and offers quality Oriental cuisine as well as a wonderful view down the rowing course.
The centre is well served by public transport being a 2 minute walk from Royal Albert (DLR) train station and having good connections to the North Circular Road (A406), M11 and M25.
